Joseph-Ange Durighello
Son of Alphonse Durighello, the French vice-consul in Sidon and brother of Edmond Durighello. He corresponded with the British Museum in 1895 using a Beirut letterhead but later resided in Paris. He donated objects to the Louvre, including the famous Byzantine "Vase from Emesa" in 1892, and sold other objects to the British Museum in the same decade; other objects acquired from Durighello were later donated to the British Museum by the painter and collector Charles Fairfax Murray.
