Dear Mr. Ross Cundell
I have been familiar with your name since I was in Edinbourgh as a young man for making studies in brewing, when I made the aquiantance of Ellie and was introduced to your parents also[?] I remember very well ..at.
I am therefore extremely glad, that my dear son has found his wife in a family for which I
have a deep sympathy.
I have alle reason to believe that Josephine will be happy in her new home, both you and I have certainly found that Scotsmen and Danes do ...tally well together as husband and wife.
As soon as Helge comes back to Copenhagen, which must be before the 1 October, the direction of the Carlsberg Breweries will give him occupation in the brewery (probably after his own wish
in the office) in order that he can develop himself and assimilate himself with the business.
I hope - and I am sure - that you never will regret that you have given your daughter to him.
Believe me
dear M. Cundell
yours affectionately
Carl Jacobsen
